NATIONAL PARKS

RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

SOUTHERN ZONE

In 2008, something of great significance happened in Tanzania – the Usangu Game reserve officially merged its borders with Ruaha, leading to the formation of Tanzania’s largest national park spanning over 20,000km² of breathtaking landscapes and terrain. Since then, numerous visitors have been attracted to this astonishing wildlife park, which is known to offer some of the best game viewing in Tanzania, thanks to its diverse species of animals.
Despite its vastness, this national park remains serene and unspoiled due to the fact that there are only a limited number of camps available to visitors. This has helped build the park’s reputation as one of Tanzania’s lesser-known wildlife destinations. If you are a regular east African safarigoer, you definitely don’t want to miss out on the chance to experience the untamed beauty of Ruaha. Its wild and untrammelled vibe sets it apart from other wildlife reserves and is something you definitely want to experience first-hand!
